About:Hong Kong Visa Policy

I have a 16hour lay over in Hong Kong

I have a 16 hour layover in HK in April arriving from Perth, Australia going on to Vancouver.
Do I need a visa to book into a nearby hotel or to leave the transit lounge area. if so , what would the cost be. I will be travelling on a New Zealand Passport.
Many thanks for your assistance.

Ruth, you don't need it. As I know, New Zealanders can entry HK freely for a stay not exceeding 90 days.
