About:China Visa Application in UK

1yr volunteering and travel. What visa should I apply for?

In August, I am hoping to go to China for a year to travel and do some volunteering in animal sanctuaries and schools.

What sort of entry permit should I apply for and would it allow me multiple entries?

Hi Louise, I think you should apply for an X1 type. As I know, the tourist L type won't allow you to stay for up to one year. You can get a temporary residence permit with the X1 type after you enter PRC. The temporary residence permit allows you to enter multiple times.
