About:Chinese Consulate in Perth

Visa requirements for entry into China

My wife and I are Australian citizens and disembarking at Shanghai on the 12th May2016 from a cruise boat, we will be picking up a private tour to Beijing and departing for Perth about 10.00pm on the 12th may2016
Do we need entry permits

Peter, according to what you said above, your total layover time in PRC is less than 24 hours, so you can make use of the 24 hour direct transit. In this case, no entry permit is required.
