About:Hong Kong Visa Policy

One entry business visa for PRC. If I go to Hong Kong can I come back in to mainland China?

I am going to Shanghai and Shenzhen on business. I will be staying for 2 weeks and I would like to take the opportunity to visit HK and Macau, but I have read that with a 1 entry visa I can exit PRC but I cannot come back. Is this correct? What are the alternatives?

I am a Portuguese national living in Germany.

Yes, it’s correct.
But you can travel like this. You can enter with business M type and stay in Shanghai or Shenzhen for a few days, after that, you can go to Macau and HK for a visit, and then go back to Shenzhen, and apply for a 5-day VOA in Shenzhen. When the VOA expires, you exit to HK, and then go to Shanghai where you can enjoy the 144 hour free transit, but after that, you should go to Macau or fly to Germany direct and cannot go to HK. In this case, you can re-enter PRC without entry permit.
