Visa for 22 hour transit

Hello. I have a 22 hour (overnight) layover in Zhengzhou on my way from Incheon (South Korea) to Hong Kong. If I will stay in a hotel that is outside the airport, will I be granted a temporary entry permit? If so, how/where can I get it?

Kevin, you are eligible for the 24 hour direct transit and you can get a temporary stay permit at the immigration inspection. You can just go there and apply for the temporary stay permit.

Thank you, Paige. I had encountered some conflicting information online -- some sites say I have to stay in the airport, others say I'm permitted to leave. Thanks for offering some clarification.
