About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Australian Passport holder. Steve from Australia

Hi I am visiting Shanghai from Australia staying two days and meeting a colleague, I will then either fly back to Australia or on to UK. as I will not know of the plans until just before the time can I use the 144hr free transit?

Steve, after your stay in Shanghai, if you fly to UK, you can enjoy the 144 hour free transit; but if you fly back to Australia after transiting in Shanghai, you cannot use the 144 hour free transit.
But please note that if you want to use the free transit, you should make plans and buy tickets in advance.
