chengdu to leshan

Hi, Im planning to go to Chengdu for the weekend of 2-4 april. I would love to visit the Leshan buddha statue. Is it fast to get there? and do we have to book a tour or buy the tickets just there?

You can take high-speed train from Chengdu to Leshan Railway Station, and then change bus 3 to reach this site. Or, you may take bus at Chengdu Xinnanmen Bus Station (2 hours, CNY45 per person) to Leshan, then change city bus 13 or take taxi to Leshan Giant Buddha. You may purchase the tickets upon arrival.
