About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I'm flying to Shanghai on March 23rd from Taiwan and flying back to Taiwan on March 24th.

Do I need to make special arrangements because I'm flying back to the same country? Is this ok?

Rob, this route is not eligible, so you have to make special arrangements in order to make use of the 72-hour free transit policy. You can fly from Taiwan to Shanghai and then to another country or region before returning to Taiwan.
