Train fees for infants

Hi, I will be travelling with my family from Beijing to Xi'an mid July this year, and one of the passengers will be my 2 month old daughter:) so I would like to know if infants need to buy separate tickets or can they travel for free? If we do need to buy extra ticket for our daughter do the same fee as for adults apply?

The child under 120cm can board for free by sharing the seat or bed with adult. If the infants need a own seat as well, you can enjoy the chidl discount as well, 50% off for the seat type and 25% off for sleeper bed.
