About:Chengdu Travel

Chengdu During Golden Week 2016

We are a family with 2 kids, staying in there 2-8 October, and wanted to know, where can we go around by train, so we don’t sit in traffic? Mt. Emei, Leshan Buddha, or other nice nature or villages around? On 8th continue to Guilin.

Well, taking bullet train and coach are main transportation to get to many popular scenic areas nearby the city.
Besides those you mentioned above, you can also go to Dujiangyan Irrigation System & Dujiangyan Panda Valley, Xiling Snow Mountain, Mount Qingcheng, Jiuzhai Valley National Park & Huanglong National Scenic Reserve. After touring around, you can spend some time to visit downtown area. Chunxi Road and Wide and Narrow Alley are also must-sees.
As you said, it is the golden week and there will be more tourists, even crowds in almost every attraction site. Be prepared, book the train tickets as early as possible, and take care of your kids.
