About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

Indian national working for a Hong Kong Company

Hi, I am a Director in a Hong Kong Company. We work with Chinese companies. However, I am an Indian Citizen and posses an Indian Passport. How can this help me in getting a visa for mainland China easily? I understand that I need to apply for an entry permit from India. But, can the Hong Kong Company say that they want to send me to PRC for official work and I need multiple entry permit valid for the maximum time possible? I have different answers so I am confused. Thank you.

Tejinder, may I know your purpose to visit PRC? If it’s for business purpose, your company can say that. But as for the number of entries, it’s decided by the consular officers according to your situation.
If you go there for tourism purpose, I’m afraid it’s difficult for you to get multiple entries.

Thanks, Jen.

I will be going purely for Business. We actually get products manufactured in PRC for exporting to our customers.

So what I understand is that I can get a letter from the Hong Kong Company and submit it to the Consular office advising them about the activities we do and why I need to go to PRC. We also have a Shenzhen Company we use for local activities only. I can also get a letter of invitation from them (I am doing it now.) Both letters can perhaps make the visa issuance simpler.
