About:China Transit Visa

Do I need a Visa for Layover in Wuhan?

I am a US citizen and will be flying from San Fransico, CA to Bangkok, Thailand with one layover in Wuhan, China on March 30. My return flight from Bangkok to San Fransisco has two layovers, the 1st is a 10 hour layover in Guangzhou on April 13, the other layover is 4 hours in Wuhan on April 14. Do I need to get a transit permit? If I change my return flight from two layovers to only one 20 hour layover in Guangzhou would I be able to get the 24 hour transit?

Ronnie, actually as long as your total layover time is not more than 24 hours, you can enjoy the 24-hour direct transit. If you change the return flight to only one layover in Guangdong, you are eligible for 72-hour free transit there.
