shenzen to guangzhou airport

Question

Looks like there are lot of trains going from Shenzen to Guangzhou, which one should I take and should I purchase the tickets in advance? ( or ok to wait one week before departure)

Personally speaking, I think these C types would be a good option. C types did cost longer time for the trip but since many rides a day, it would be easier to get the ticket (sometimes even on the day of travel). C types stop at Guangzhou or Guangzhou east station and these 2 are closer in distance to GZ airport as well. You may take these as your reference. Good luck.

Shenzen to Guangzhou Airport
