About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

72 hour visa waiver for uk passengers

I am a uk citizen and passport holder, doing a round the world cruise with P&O and will be in Shanghai for one day, how do I apply for an entry permit and what is the cost?

Lorna, you don’t need to apply for an entry permit because you qualify for the 24 hour direct transit. When you board the cruise, you inform the cruise company that you will use the 24 hour direct transit. After arrival, you just need to handle the relevant procedures at the port and it’s free of charge.
