About:China Private Visit Visa

My husband works on Z visa in Shanghai. My daughter and I would like to join him in Shanghai.

I understand we have to apply for S1 type entry permit. Can we stay with him as long as he is in Shanghai?

Yes, you can stay with him as long as he is in Shanghai. Actually, after you get the S1 type, you need to apply for a residence permit after your arrival. The validity of your residence permit is determined by the validity of your husband's residence permit. Usually, both certificates expires on a same date.
