Are there smoking rooms while we wait for our transfer in Beijing airport?

No, there is no smoking room in terminal buildings. And passengers are not allowed to smoke inside. But you can go to outdoor smoking areas. There are totally 17 outside T1, T2 and T3. You can easily find the places according to the English signs or consult the airport staff.0
