About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Am I eligible for the 72-hour visa? I would like to take a city tour.

I am a US citizen and am flying from Phuket to Beijing to Seattle, with a 9-hour layover in Beijing.

Yes, you are eligible and you can leave the airport to tour the city.
