How crowded do you think this area will be? I've read reviews saying to skip the boat ride from Guilin to Yang shuo because it is so busy and not worth the money.. Do you think the weather and crowds will be better at this time? Would it be worth it do take the ferry? Thanks!

Mid March it not the peak travel season yet and there should not be too many tourists. No worry. For the ferry ride, I recommend you to take it for one-way if the weather is fine; it's the best way to appreciate the Li river. Have fun~
