About:China Work Visa

Z-visa with criminal record

I have a recorded offence on my criminal background check (minor offence in which I was NOT convicted but these show on a federal check for ten years). Will this prevent me from obtaining the z-type or further from transferring this to a residency permit once in China?

Charlene, it may have a minor influence on your application. Don’t worry! Once you get the work Z type, I don’t think it will prevent you from obtaining the residence permit.
