About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Entering Shanghai twice within 3 weeks

I am a UK passport holder & am looking to fly to Australia with a 48 hour stop over in Shanghai on the outward journey. If I am to return home via Shanghai also (staying within the airport on transit) will this be possible? And if so do I need a visa for the return transit also?

Abbie, it is possible. You don’t need an entry permit for the transit either. You are eligible for the 72 hour free transit for both legs of your trip.
