3 day stay visa

Hi, I'm visiting my step brother in China at the end of February for 3 days. He has already sent me a letter of invitation and provided me with his own documents (passport copy, ID, etc).

I am a UK passport holder staying in Japan on a Humanities visa, and have lived here for the past several years. Can I visit the consulate directly or do I have to use a travel agency?

Dear, you can go there directly. The reason why the consulate suggests the applicant find a travel agency to apply for them is because there are many people applying at the consulate. So if you are patient enough, you can do it yourself.
