About:Wudang Mountains

How to go from Yichang to Wudangshan?

We will arrive to Yichang at the end of the cruise on Yantze, about at 13.30. Is it possible to go directly (in the same afternoon) to the mountain? Bu bus? by train?

At that time, there is no bus available. At Yichang East Railway Station, there is a train available to WDS at 19:45. The travel time is about 5 hours.

Massimo asks: I think it's too late to reach Wudangshan at 1.00 in the night.
If I sleep in Yichang, have I more possibilities in the following morning?
And what about this new alternative: to go to WDS from Chongqing (by train? by bus?); than to go to Yichang and to take the cruise upstream (from Yichang to Chongqing)?

1. In the next morning, you can take direct tourist bus from Main Bus Station and arrive at the scenic area. The schedule is at 07:30 every day. The ticket fare is CNY 135 per person for the single trip.
2. Yes, you can take train from Chongqing Railway Station or North Railway Station and get to Wudangshan Railway Station first. The duration is 10 to 11 hours. Then hire a private car to arrive at the scenic area. After touring around, take direct tourists bus scheduled at 14:30 and go to Yichang.
