Applying For The Visa On That. *

So As For Applying For The Entry Permit So Far:

Requirements
1. Applicant' passport with at least 6 months remaining validity and available blank pages.

Got That.

2. One truly completed Application Form. Please fill in every column of the application form, using "N/A" if not applicable. If the application form is not filled out truly, completely and legibly, this can cause a delay in processing or refusal of the application.

I Will DEFINITELY Need Help With That.

3. A recent passport-size color photo with white background stuck on the application form.

I Have PassPort Photos, So I Should Have That.

4. Proof of legal stay or resdence status (applicable to those not applying in their country of citizenship)

Not Sure About That. I'd Be Trying To Get Jobs In China. I Don't Currently Have An Official Job Here.

5. Documents showing the itinerary including round trip air ticket booking record and proof of hotel reservation, etc. Or,
Invitation letter issued by a relevant entity or individual in PRC, with following information:
a. Information on the applicant (full name, gender, date of birth, etc.)
b. Information on the planned visit (arrival and departure dates, place(s) of visit, etc.)
c. Information on the inviting entity or individual (name, contact number, address, official stamp, signature of the legal representative of the entity or the inviting individual)

I'll Definitely Need Help With That. I Also Don't Know All Of Kathy's Personal Information Like That On That.

1. The use of N/A: if the information on the form is inconsistent with your situation, you can write N/A
2. If you apply for it in your home country, the residence permit isn't needed; but if you apply in other countries, it is required.
3. According to what you said, you want to apply for work Z type now. But the invitation letter or air tickets are for the application of tourist L type. You should first find a company to employ you, and then the employer will get you the foreign employment permit and an invitation letter from a duly authorized unit. Besides, you also need to provide your passport and its copy, the application form and the passport-style photo, as well as your valid entry permit to PRC to apply for work Z type.

That actually made that even more confusing and complicated in the application. The main reason I would be going there is for Marriage. I was told to get an Visitor L type and a Single Status Certificate then go there after getting those .

This is all so confusing. I have no idea how regular people travel back and forth between countries so easily and often like that.

If you just want to go to PRC for your marriage, a tourist L type and single status certificate are enough.
But in your question, you said that you want to find a job in PRC. So I would like to know what your plan is.
From where I stand, you can enter PRC first with a tourist L type to get married. After your marriage, you can try to find a job and then apply for a work Z type to work in PRC.

I was told that what I need other than a ticket are a Class L Visitor Visa and a Single Status Certificate. Those are what I have been trying to get and that's basically all I can currently afford. I was trying to move there for Marriage On That. *
