Visa for Permanent Partner

Hi,
I am a US citizen and planning to work in Shanghai. I am applying official work permit through my US company. I am planning to bring my permanent partner (she is Japanese) along with me. According to the immigration office, China doesn't accept permanent partner status and at maximum she can stay upto 15 days in China.
Are there any other options or creative ways to overcome this issue? How can she stay longer period in China without needing to leave the country in every 2 weeks. (i.e. such as attending a language school to get a student visa ) any suggestion would be appreciated, thank you!
Thank you in advance,

Hi there! As far as I know, the best option for your case is to let your partner study or work there and apply for the long-term X or Z type for her. Only in this way, can she get the residence permit and live long in PRC.
