A foreign student in Russia

I am a student in Russia, i want to visit my friend who is also a student in china. What are the documents i will need to apply for a chinese visa

You can apply for a tourist L type to visit your friend in PRC. The required documents can be as follows:
1. Your passport and copy of its data page
2. The filled-out application form and a passport-sized color photo
3. Your residence permit or study permit in Russia
4. Round trip air tickets and hotel reservation; or you can ask your friend issue an invitation letter to you.
