How can I get from Zhengzhou to Mt. Songshan? How much will it cost for travel?

Is the Shaolin temple on the mountain or do you need to travel to get there? How much will travel to the mountain and back to downtown cost? How much is entry? How much is the cable car? Can you buy food there? How cold does it get in February?

Hi, Bianca. Shaolin Temple is a famous tourism spot of Mt. Songshan. A full day is enough to tour the scenic area. It is recommended to get to Shaolin Temple first. You can take a direct bus at Zhengzhou Central Station to Shaolin Temple. The bus ticket is CNY 28. The combo ticket of the temple and Songshan costs CNY 180. Cable car is available inside the scenic area. A one-way trip costs CNY 50.

There are booths at the hillside. But the price is not cheap. So, you'd better prepare some snacks before you set out.

The average temperature of Mt. Songshan is around -10C (14F) in February. You should wear down jacket, boots, gloves, and hat to keep warm.
