Which Visa to apply for?

Hi,

I am going on a four month trip starting the end of february. I am visiting China but not until June, so if i apply for a single entry tourist type it will be out of date by then. Is there a way around this? Can I apply for a mutliple entry 6 month even though i am only planning one entry into CN?!

Many thanks,
Gemma

Gemma, as far as I know, you can now apply for a two-year L type visa with multiple entries and the price is the same for all types. Therefore, I do think the best option is to apply for a two-year multiple entry L visa at the CVASC office in UK. If you fail to get this, you can apply for it during your trip at other countries.

Thank you for your reply James! Yes I did hear about this 2 year visa but I wasn't sure if I was eligible to apply and also I still think you can only apply for it up to 3 months before your first entry into China? I think I'm going to have to apply whilst away, I was thinking in Singapore do you think this would be possible? Thanks

Singapore is not good choice if you don't have long-term residence permit there.
