Hongkong employment visa with small shoplifting criminal record

Hello,
My wife who is an australian citizen is planning to apply for hongkong work entry permit (GEP). She was convicted for a shoplifting crime 3-4 years back and was fined $1000 (no other criminal records till date except this one).

Can this lead to her work entry permit to hongkong getting rejected?

Kalyan, don’t worry. I think it just has a minor influence on her application.
