About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

would 72 hour visa free transit to Beijing and then 144 hrs to Shanghai work if I return to USA?

I am trying to work out my trip details depending on the policy. Thank you.

If I fly into Beijing from USA and then will fly to Hong Kong
Then I will fly from HongKong to Singapore
Singapore to Shanghai
Then Shanghai to USA???

Thank you in advance for help.

Akta, considering your travel route, I think you can enjoy the 72 hour free transit in Beijing and then use the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai when you return.
