2 friends to travel shenzhen without joining tour?

me and my friend wants to see oct, wonders of the world, speldid china without joining a tour, how do we do that? so we can go back earlier than the tour to hongkong.

Yes, taxi is available, but it might be expensive if you take the taxi all day long. You can also take the public bus or subway instead.
