About:China Visa on Arrival

Indian passport holder can get on arrival visa for shanghai or not?

I want to visit shanghai. i am Indian student studying in TAIWAN. I have conference in March so if VOA available i will book my flight from Taiwan to shanghai and shanghai to Taiwan. I have official invitation letter from the conference. I am also having a ARC for Taiwan(ROC).

Dear, I'm afraid you cannot get the VOA for Shanghai. As you have enough time to apply for a normal entry permit, you should apply as soon as possible. If you intend to apply at Taiwan, you need to hire an agency to do the applicaiton. If you don't want to use agencies, you can go to Hong Kong or Macau to apply for an M or F type entry permit.

how long it will take from Hong Kong to get an netry permit for shanghai. can it be done in a day.

Usually, it takes 4 working days. But if you choose the rush service, it takes 2 working days.
