About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Can I get a 72 hour visa-free with this itinerary?

I am planning to fly into Shanghai Pudong, arriving in the afternoon, stay in Shanghai for three nights, then flying early in the morning from Shanghai Hongqiao to Beijing, just for transit within the airport to my final destination, London. (All with Air China). I am a UK citizen.

Sorry, Henry, you can't get the 72-hour free transit as you stop over in two Chinese cities.

Thanks for your reply, James. I was afraid that would be the case, so I've opted just for Beijing, as visas are too expensive for such a short trip.
