About:Chinese Embassy in South Korea

Renewing my 2-year L visa w/ 6 month stays

I have a 2-year L type allowing multiple entires with a 6-month limit for each visit. To keep this L type valid, do I simply leave China for a weekend and return? Do I need to go to the Chinese embassy first?

Denise, after your entry to PRC and when you stay there for full 6 months, you need to leave the mainland PRC. After few days, you can re-enter PRC and you will obtain another 6 months. You don’t need to go to the embassy.
