How long will it take for the visa to be issued?

Hi. If I work in China and I have a Z type, does that mean my boyfriend just has to show his roundtrip ticket so he can get a Tourist L type? And is that sure that it will get approved? And how long will it take to be approved? Because we wouldn't want to buy the ticket too early because the visa might take longer to process and also because the ticket may not be enough to get it approved.

Crystal, if you issue an invitation letter to your boyfriend, he doesn’t need to provide round trip air tickets and hotel reservation. He can apply for a tourist L type, but no one can assure that his application will be approved for sure. Usually, after submitting the application, it takes 4 working days to process it. Please note that if it’s the first time he applies for PRC entry permit, he also needs to provide proof of his financial support.
