About:China Visa Application in USA

Traveling Taipei to Shanghai, then back to Taipei within 24 hours.

We have a short 2 hour layover back to Tapei through Hong Kong. Would we need a visa?

Taipei to Shanghai
Shanghai to Hong Kong (2 hour layover) to Taipei

Jann, it's possible that you can use the 24-hour direct transit policy, but you had better confirm this with your airline.
