My sister lives In China for study purposes, I'm her brother & my family wants me to start with her

I wonder how many days am I eligible to stay in PRC. if the given date nears expiration, Can I apply for visa extension when being in PRC. Is it possible for me to work part time under s2 type there? Please give me answer sir
