2 days in Bangkok and 2 days in islands

My family will spend 4 days in Thailand. I was thinking of spending around 2 days in Bangkok and flying to one of the islands for 2 nights. Is this too rushed? Thanks!

Hi,
I would do 4 days in Bangkok. There are plenty of things to do and see. Perhaps day trip to either Kanchanaburi or Ayutthaya. Flying to the island for 2 days is not worth money for airfare. You will spend big chunk of your day at the airport to and from.

Bangkok has many attractive destinations that you should visit. 2 days i think it's not enough to explore there. but if you only have 4 days, you can spend 2 days in Bangkok and 2 days in Krabi or Koh Samed. But when will you go? because the weather each island is different.
