z visa help needed urgently

HiI've been offered a job started on 29 February 2016 working at a university teaching English (I'm from the UK, with a UK passport).  My problem is this, the person (school administrator) who's helping me to apply for the Z type doesn't have any idea what to do, she keeps asking me for more documents and every time, I give her what she asks for, she asks for even more documents, I now have just 6 weeks left to get the Z type and I don't think I can make it, and she's asking again for some more documents which I need to be sent to me from the UK and then I also need to head to Hong Kong to get the Z type issued.My question is this, does anyone know what documents I need in order for the PSB to grant me the Z type paperwork?  So far I have given the following documents to the school:1. The photocopy of the first page of your passport.2. One Color-photo in two-inches sized.3. physical examination record within half of this year.4. a photocopy of my degree5. a criminal record check (photocopy)The school has asked me for 'authentication of my certificates by the Chinese embassy' but not been specific about what certificates need to be certified, does anyone know which certificates they are?  Also, I cannot get the PRC embassy to certify my documents since I am in China, so there's no embassy there as far as I know.  Does anyone know if I can just go to the Entry and Exit PSB in PRC and ask them to certify everything (I will show them the originals and take photocopies with me)?Also, can anyone tell me if I need any other documents except for the ones that the school has asked me for?ThanksLiz

Liz, you need to provide your passport and copy of its data page, the application form attached with a passport-style color photo, your valid entry permit to PRC, the work permit and an invitation letter from a duly authorized unit. What the school’s administer apply for you are the work permit and invitation letter and the documents she requires are necessary. You need to authenticate your degree,  physical examination record and criminal record check which you can post to UK and entrust your family member or friend to get them authenticated for you. The exit and entry administration of the local PSB cannot certify for you. As far as I know, the above-mentioned documents are enough. But if the consular officer requires you to provide other relevant document they consider it necessary, you have to present.
