About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I believe this meets all the requirements of the 72 hours visa free entry

Plan to depart LHR on25 Jan for Doha then to Hangzhou arrive 26 Jan. Travel to Jinhua City for work depart Hangzhou 29 Jan to HK for 2.5 hours before flying to LHR on 30 Jan.

Neil, your route is ok. But will you just transit 2.5 hours in HK and then fly back directly? If so, I am afraid that you might have trouble. Someone who was in similar situation like you once mentioned that he was refused to board the plane in HK because he didn't have entry and exit stamps on his passport. In other words, a transit in HK isn't ok. You have to pass the immigration, stay somewhere in HK and then get back to take your flight.

Thanks for the feedback I will check with the Cathay. My flight from HGH to HK is with Dragonair a subsidiary of Cathay; as it may be the same as a normal transit from China to HK
