Best way to reach Yichang or Chongqing from Zhangjiajie

We will be in Zhangjiajie just before taking the 4-day Chongqing-Yichang or Yichang-Chongqing cruise. So pls advise how we can travel from Zhangjiajie to Chongqing or to Yichang.

I think the best way to reach Chongqing from Zhangjiajie is by flight. As there is no direct flight, you need to transfer via Changsha city.

Thanks Jessica. Is there a direct flight from Zhangjiajie to Yichang? Also, is it possible to take a direct train from Zhangjiajie to Chongqing or from Zhangjiajie to Yichang? Thanks again

Hi, you can take train from Zhangjiajie to Yichang. It takes around 5 hours.
