About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Sanya, Hainan tour

I am flying into Hong Kong from Canada and want to take a 2-3 day within 72 hours trip to Sanya.

Will this qualify for the 72 hour free transit?

Heard that a tour group to Hainan in less than 5 days don't need entry permit

Hi there. Currently, the 72-hour free transit policy has not been implemented in Sanya, so you can't enjoy it, but it's likely that you can apply for a visa on arrival, at the cost of CNY 168.

If you join a tour group to Hainan, you can stay there for as long as 15 days and the entry permit is not necessary.

Thanks Vera. What kind is it for CNY 168 and where can I get it.

I would have to pay CAD $160 in Canada.

Vera, it's VOA. When you arrive at the airport, you can go to the immigration to apply. But I suggest you contact the airport to confirm this.
