About:Shanghai Hongqiao Airport

Is the Hongqiao Railway Station and Airport inter connected? How much time for internal transfer?

My end destination being Jining, Shandong from India , I plan to take a flight till shanghai and then the bullet train to Jining. Is it better to take a flight via the Hongqiao airport only? Is the railway station and airport inter connected? How much time will it take for internal tranfer from airport to railway station? Is the transit smooth?

The Terminal 2 of Hongqiao Airport is connected with Hongqiao Railway Station. Upon landing, you can walk there within ten minutes along the underground passage. The transit is very smooth, and there are clear English guiding signs for you. If you arrive at Terminal 1, you can take subway line 10 to Hongqiao Railway Station for CNY 3 (about 5 minutes).

Hongqiao Airport is much nearer to Hongqiao Railway Station. If you arrive at Pudong Airport, you can take subway line 2 to Hongqiao Railway Station directly. It costs CNY 8, and takes about 1.5 hours. Have a great journey! :)
