About:Chinese Embassy in Norway

LAO CAI TO HEKOU border crossing visa

Hi I am a Norwegian passport holder and I am wondering if i need to obtain an entry permit to do day trips on the LAO CAI TO HEKOU border crossing from Vietnam to China and then back to Vietnam?

I have a friend who claimed he got a 4 day entry permit to China showing up on this bordercrossing.

Assuming VOA means Visa On Arrival. What fees are associated this this, in this case?

In regard of the meaning of VOA, your understanding is correct. Usually, it charges CNY168.
