About:China Tourist Visa

Tourist Visa from a country different from residence.

Hello, I'm a Greek citizen and planning a trip to China departing from a third country, Philippines. Can I apply in the Chinese Embassy in the Philippines? Are there any extra requirements needed? Thank you!

Kon, I am afraid that you may not apply successfully in Philippines. According to Chinese embassy there, those who come and stay in Philippines temporarily are required to apply Chinese entry permits in advance. So you should apply in Greece before you go there.

Oh, I see.. The detail is that I am not in Greece right now I'm on a ship. And I will be traveling to the Philippines directly and then to China (if I get the entry permit). Are there any other countries that I can apply near Philippines? So thankful for your help.

You can try to apply in Indonesia. As your case is special, maybe you have a chance to get it in the Philippines.
