leaving changsha airport for 24hours? Did anybody do that before?

im travelling from frankfurt to bangkok via Changsha. i was told that it is possible to leave the airport for 24hours if you are transiting and only here for stopover. My stopover time is 12hours, so it would be very nice not to spend the entire time inside the airport but to go out.

Jess, you can enjoy 24 hours free transit policy. If you plan to leave the airport, please ask for the stay permit at the immigration. It's just a stamp on your passport and you can get it for free.
