About:Chinese Embassy in Pakistan

Change the name on ID card or passport?

Dear Thank You for your answer please tell me should my wife need to change her name on ID card or passport? before that she use her father name as a sir name did she need to change that sir name on my name (Husband name) on passport? or previous name is acceptable?

The consular officers don't care whether your wife follows your surname or not. If she changes her name, then she should get a paper from your local authority to prove that she changed her name and two names refer to the same person. Without this paper, I am afraid that she might have trouble in applying Chinese visa.
