The required documents include the application form, a recently-taken passport-style color photo, and your HK ID card. You need to submit your application to the embassy of PRC personally. It charges for HK$370 or 48USD (32 pages) and HK$460 (48 pages) or 59 USD.
I’m afraid you cannot use Debit Card for all payment. But you can use debit card to pay CAD15 commission charge to the embassy.
As for the passport fee, you need to pay by cheque or bank draft, and it should be crossed and made payable to “The Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.” No cash should be sent along with the application.
In addition, you also need to pay the relevant postage.
