Hello, in fact, it may be troublesome to apply in Oman. So if possible, you are advised to apply for it in your home country.
If you go PRC for tourism purpose, you should apply for a tourist L type. You need to provide your and its photocopy, the application form attached with a bareheaded color photo, your valid entry permit to Oman, as well as round trip air tickets and hotel reservation. And then submit the application to the embassy of PRC in Oman to apply. It usually takes 4 working days and costs 15 riyals. Or you can choose the urgent service which takes 2 working days and costs 25 riyals. The cost is just for your reference. In real practice, it may be a little bit different and you may need to pay a little more.
