Can I take knitting needles?

You can take it in your checked luggage for sure. But I am afraid that you may not bring it on the plane.

I took 3 domestic flights in China and had my knitting needles in my carry-on each time. It was no problem bringing them.

What about the quantity can we fill the whole bag with it or a limited amount, then how much?
And is it allowed to carry with us while exiting China

As I know, there is no exact limited amount. You need to put them into the checked luggage.
