knitting needles yarn scissors

Can I bring knitting needles in carryon to work on a project during the flight? They are circular needles 2 wood needles connected with a plastic cord The needles are 5 inches each the cord is 21 inches the scissors I use have a cutting edge that is 1-3/4 inches the full metal part of the scissor is 2-3/4 inches.
